Music Review:

Yet another Telugu Tamil remake.  This big hit of 2006 was named 'Pokiri' in south India.  Basically, it is an action cum romantic movie.

Movie buffs waiting with bated breath for the movie to unfold this Eid might be disappointed by the music of the album!  Love me is a corny and moronic song, while Dil leke does have a nice, good, senti melody, but that background music doesn’t gel.  Ishq vishq is a confused mishmash where Kamaal Khan seems to have forgotten a huge chunk of his lyrics. Le le maza is groovy - exotic sound, but the shameless hero-worship noise fest, Jalwa, is painful. Wajid and Sunidhi’s enthusiasm alone saves the otherwise routine Bhojpuri-styled Tose pyaar karte hain. Salman’s lyrics and utterances in Most Wanted Track (!) merely translates Rajinikant’s Tamil punchlines! Not so Wanted.

Additional Remixes:

“Love Me Love Me (Mama Papa Mix)”  - Below average fare.

“Ishq Vishk (Remix)” - Undoubtedly it's a decent hear and will find a fair share of admirers and detractors.

“Dil Leke (Remix)” - A complete downer, considering the original is a much cherished romantic outing, and the remix doesn't help much with the repeat value.

“Jalwa On The House (Remix)” - While the original did not break much ground due to it's average lyrics, this one has an amazing set of pads, synth loops, bass and beats, therefore making a contagious hear.

“Tose Pyaar Karte Hain (Remix)” -  Sadly, another disappointment.
Movie Review:

Directed by dancing Master Prabhu Deva, ‘Wanted’ is  produced by Boney Kapoor. This, remake of a super hit Tamil and Telugu movie Pokkiri, promises to bring back the magic of old masala movies!

Music Review:

"Yash Raj Films" banner used to ensure a good music, public used to wait for the music of Yash Raj Films, this does not seem the case this time.  All the songs are typical Punjabi folk style Bhangra.  You are sure to move your body the first time you listen to the soundtrack, but soon you realize that it is getting monotonous and repetitive.

If you are non-punjabi, it would be only the Bhangra music which can attract you.  Most of the songs include total Punjabi words and lingo. Just because the movie is based in Punjab, you can't write a Punjabi only lyrics.

The title track Hadippa by Mika is the typical Punjabi bhangra number…the song sounds like that of a bhangra music album. The song is currently popular on the TV channels but it doesn’t have a great repeat value and will soon fizzle out in the long run.

It is hard to figure out when the title track ends and when does the second track Discowaale Khisko by K.K, Sunidhi Chauhan and  Rana begin. The musical arrangements are so similar. It is a celebration song and might look good with the help of some good choreography and Shahid's moves in the movie.

Ishq Hi Hai Rab by Sonu Nigam and Shreya Ghoshal is a mellow song filmed on the lead pair of movie to carry forward their romantic liaison in the movie. The highlight of this song is Shreya Ghoshal’s vocal’s seamlessly blending with that of Sonu Nigam's.

Till you reach the fourth song of the album, Bhangra Bistar by Alisha Chinoy, Sunidhi Chauhan and Hard Kaur, you are irritated with the overdose of dhol and bhangra… The lyrics sound very pretentious and wannabe Punjabi.

Gym Shim sung and composed by Joshilay, sounds more like a Punjabi nursery rhyme set to tune with dhols…If this song is played in the gym while a work out session, I can't assure a weight loss but can guarantee a mind loss. Amateurish is the word for the song.

The album ends with the remixed version of Discowaale Khisko by Master Salim & Hadippa by Mika Singh, Sunidhi Chauhan. Since the originals are not noteworthy the remixes fall flat..!

Movie Review:

'Dil Bole Hadippa' is one of the biggest films of this year. Veera (Rani Mukherjee) is a small Chulbuli girl. Her dreams are too big. She works in a local theater group, but wants to play cricket with Tendulkar and Dhoni.

Rohan (Shahid Kapoor) is England's county cricket team captain and a good cricket player. In India his father's Cricket team loses a series for eight consecutive years. For his father's team's victory he comes to India.

Veera belongs to a village where girls don't play cricket. In order to fulfill her dreams, she puts on a turban and beard and becomes "Veer Pratap Singh". Her brilliance on the field earns her a place in Rohan's (Shahid Kapoor) team.
